From the City of Newcastle:
The Community Activities Commission has seen the signs. City Staff have sounded the alarm. Join us for “Attack of the Blackberry Root Ball,” a two-day volunteer event to unearth and remove monstrous blackberry root balls on October 31, then return November 7 to revisit the freshly dug earth and plant trees.
No registration required. Gloves and tools will be provided, along with water and snacks.
